Image
It is worth noting that our nation has had a tremendous change in all aspects and spheres that your mind can conjure. The question is whether they are positive or negative. My centre of attention shall focus on our nation's double life, especially our Identity dilemma. This has been a discussion on today's morning break on Citizen TV. I will go ahead and talk about our country and its ethnic identity question. Today, when you mention the name Kenya, it evokes images of breathtaking wildlife, landscapes and not to forget our beautiful and talented marathon athletes who have relentlessly and continuously made us proud, not just locally but on the world map. But scratch beneath the surface, a complex question emerges, one that has quietly simmered for decades: Is Kenya still ethnic-based? Or is it a nation truly forging a single, unified identity? This issue is deeply ingrained and permeates every part of Kenyan life, from the boardroom to the voting booth. It is not merely a scho...

Image
It was described as 'Kenya in Crisis' by one of the media outlets (NTV) in the country following the harsh and brute response employed by the deployed police and military to bring calm and peace to one of the most regarded peaceful nations in the world following protests that were earmarked for Tuesday. Kenyan protesters, largely children, took to the streets to show the world their dissatisfaction with their ruling environment ranging from punitive taxation, unemployment, irregular expenditure of the taxpayers' money and promises which have turned out to be lies since none have been fulfilled. He stood against Sonko in the 2017 gubernatorial race as a hopeful candidate but lost to him. He didn't give up, as he labelled him unfit for Nairobians due to his 'stinky' track record. Miguna went on to become 'persona non grata' on Kenyan soil following a popular invitation to the police saying, 'Come, baby, come' when the latter went for Kajwang as the lawyer who administered the oath to the then 'Peoples' President Raila Odinga. He told them he knew nothing about the originality of the oath's content, come to the real author and that's how he was out in the cold away from his motherland, fortunately, he is back and ever since, he has taken the media by storm raising content that resonates with his loyal following for instance, yesterday Tweet, that glued Kenyans on X. A controversial picture taken and shared by Mike Sonko has attracted attention on X media. The picture has three individuals: Mike himself, pioneer 001 Governor Joho and th...
