Why Dialogue, You Were Doing Fine Until That Tone, Candid Kajwang Speaks
This fine Tuesday morning along the corridors of one of Kenya’s greatest media empires, panelists particularly from the political class paid a morning visit to S.K.Macharia’s famous TV station, Citizen Television.
They included Danstan Mungatana, Diana and Kajwang and their power moderator was Ayub Abdikadir.
The host theme coincided with the ‘@Daybreak’ show which happened to be ‘Kenya Courting Anarchy’.
Well, most of us are versed with what is currently going on between Kenya’s two most important arms Judiciary and Executive.
The two heads of those respective entities are apparently at loggerheads and have been like that for the better of two weeks now. It all started with the President's Housing Manifesto which was stopped by the High Court Judges citing inadequate Public Participation and its biased nature of capturing only the working class.
This bone of contention has further progressed to how the Judiciary operates, how flawed the judges are and how they are ‘hell-bent’ on undermining the government’s policies and initiatives. All these mentioned have stemmed from the accusing finger, the top head of the Executive, President Ruto directing his fury and anger to his fellow counterpart, the head of the Judiciary, Martha Koome.
According to today’s morning show, a furious Homabay Senator, Moses Kajwang questioned the move by Martha Koome extending an olive branch to Mr Ruto, saying the following.
“Why Dialogue? Were there warring parties? Who will chair?”
“When there is fighting between individuals and there is a need to breed peace, it is when dialogue is instituted, otherwise Koome may have good intentions but the general public will read otherwise, it would mean the allegations of bribery and all those sorts of undermining are true” he further explained.
What do you read about Martha’s intentions? Is Kajwang’s view on this matter correct?
What about your view?
