The Pokomo Elder is Lying, Sifuna Upsets Colleague In A Morning Tv Show

It has gained popularity over its flexibility and ability to land in the most influential and adept politicians where some of them speak fiercely and fearlessly over grave matters that the majority tend to look the other way.

Thursday morning Citizen's TV show, 'State of the Nation’, saw former deputy speaker Farah Maalim, Danstan Mungatana and ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna gracing the floors of Trevor’s favourite media station.

They were in for an array of issues that are strife among Kenyans especially the latest political developments that have seen the Executive tussle with the Judiciary over delays of the former reaching their target agenda painting them as exercising Judicial overreach.

In the recent days that have passed, Kenyans have been made aware of the government’s decision and determination to construct houses and even further to send police to Haiti which for instance, have been stopped by the High Court.

Discussion inside the royal media house was highly charged as it was seen as two against one, that is, Maalim and Mungatana against Sifuna whom they branded as young and lacking respect for the elders.

Disturbed Tana River Senator was impatient over SG's mode of addressing the president as a liar and in fact, wanted him to bear full awareness of some class of people needing respect.

The Secretary at that time was painting the Head of State as a liar and even dared the Senator to label his party leader as the same if his utterances deviate from what he stands for.

Edwin told fellow panellists that their leader always comes to the position of telling the truth when he is speaking with IMF, World Bank and the like that would extend the loan to him but the rest of Kenyans will be lied over.

Tana River oversight leader branded ‘Pokomo elder’ by SG, came defending the president by highlighting positive strides his government has achieved over every negative utterance from the opposition.

He said the following.

“Despite what Sifuna terms as lies, we have managed to record positive progress in the government, for instance, the opposition will fail to note the increased number of people who have flocked to our tourism sector, the prices of food which have significantly reduced and going further as to clear the huge interest of Eurobond that many African governments have failed but us.”

“The Pokomo elder is lying, what good has come from you, you are lying to Kenyans, there is nothing good, those people coming to various tourism points are all foreigners, Kenyans are still reeling from the high economy you have brought upon them, nothing good.” SG didn’t wait for the vocal senator to finish his statement, hence the interruption.

Bitter panellists never agreed on anything as they ended the debate with Trevor inviting them for another time.

As a concerned citizen, is the country headed in the right direction?
